Thanksgiving Tablescapes - keeping it simple!

Your Thanksgiving table is an open canvas

Dressing the Thanksgiving table can be as formal or as informal as you want it to be. It can be traditional in fall colors: red, yellow, orange, brown, and green, or defy all the usual hues with a pop of purple and gold. Fruits and vegetables are easy props to display on a tablescape, or even the turkey itself can be the central focus. Whatever you choose, my advice is to keep it simple.

Add unexpected hues.

The china by Anna Wetherly is in traditional fall colors but the William Yeoward goblet and linens focus on my favorite color - purple!

When a guest sits down there should be something beautiful and inspiring to look at.

Hometalk.com uses a plaid cloth and a variety of small pumpkins, leaves, and votives to create a low tablescape. The plates and amber-colored goblets add more interest.

More pumpkins but in surprising colors are the focal point of this tablescape by Casa de Perrin who uses gorgeous chargers that only cost $13.75 each.

Simple is Best!
