5 Things You Never Thought to Paint (and a link to many more)
Need an excuse to give a few things around the house a facelift?
There are many items around your house that you can paint and give them a new life or just possibly a whole new look. As I’m continuing to work from home, I’m noticing little things around the house that could use some sprucing up. I found these ideas in a House Beautiful article and thought you might like to hear about them. A link to the full article is below.
1. The inside of a hutch. I gave this very traditional English hutch a facelift with Farrow and Ball Arsenic.
“Arsenic has a lively, stimulating feel despite its name being derived from the poison that was rumoured to have been in the wallpaper that poisoned Napoleon after his capture. Its vivid mint colour makes it feel just as at home on contemporary kitchen cabinets, especially when paired with Down Pipe, as it does on the walls of a 19th century dining room. ”
2. Wicker Furniture - let your mind run wild with the possibilities of revamping an old wicker chair.
3. Plain stairs. The dark gray adds just the right pop to these stairs.

For my recent kitchen facelift, I needed to bring some brightness and interest to the tired white cabinets I had for years. After painting them with Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy, I added Linwood’s Jungle Jive wallpaper to make them a little more playful.
4. The Inside of Cabinets. Ohhh, the possibilites!
5. Gilt Mirrors. Do you have a gilt mirror crammed in a closet somewhere that you aren’t using because it’s too fancy? Try painting one and give it a new lease on life.
