I tore out the recipe from a magazine for Ghirardelli's Ultimate Double Chocolate Chip Cookies years ago and have never found a better cookie. If you follow the recipe strictly, using the two different Ghirardelli chocolate chips, you will probably agree. It calls for semi-sweet and 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate chips. The two work well together - you can taste the sweetness from the semi-sweet chips and the bittersweet chips' slight bitter yet rich flavor. The crunch from the walnuts rounds out the complete taste experience.
