4th of July Party Prep
In some ways, the 4th of July mimics Thanksgiving or Christmas, where the food is nostalgic and deserves careful consideration. In my family, hot dogs have to be on the menu. Thankfully, we order them from Stock Yards in Chicago, and I can’t complain - they are delicious. My focus then becomes the sides. With the 4th only a week away here are the dishes we love, and a cocktail thrown in for good measure. They should pair well with fried chicken, burgers, or steaks.
