Pink Pasadena

The Pink Pasadena

The Pink Pasadena

This concoction has two distinct values - tartness from the pink grapefruit juice and lime and smoothness from the cranberry juice and simple syrup. It’s so easy to make and you can find fresh grapefruit juice in many stores including Trader Joes. Double old-fashioned glasses are from William Sonoma barware.

2 oz gin or vodka

splash of simple syrup

juice of half a lime

fresh grapefruit or mint for garnish

  • Fill cocktail shaker with all ingredients and a cup of ice. Shake vigorously (at least 20 times). Pour through strainer into desired glass.

  • Note: Remember, when making cocktails, if something is too strong (add more juice) or not strong enough (add more liquor) fix it until it is perfect for your tastes. Cocktail recipes are only a guide to your comfort zone.
