Decorating with Books

Whenever I’m out antiquing I always consider buying old/vintage books for the purpose of decorating. Don’t get me wrong, I love getting lost in a great book, but the books I seek are of the staging type. Tiny books are always a hit because they can fit into small spaces. Some books are used for their “spine appeal” such as the ones in this hutch.

There are always books that are displayed for their content. In my case, anything Abraham Lincoln is worthy of recognition for the cover alone.

A picture of Abe on the cover of a book is all it takes to make a statement.
