Pushing Purple

I have always been in the love with the color purple and most variations of it - lilac, lavendar, mauve and aubergine. Over the years I’ve found many ways to sneak purple into my decor without my husband noticing that it’s even present. It’s on the walls, the draperies, the pillows and upholserty. It’s in the hutches, on the spines of books and insides of shells. All month long I’m paying homage to purple - the color of royalty, creativity and mystery.

Purple works well with so many other accent colors such as blues and greens.

In some ways purple is a neutral. It pairs nicely with other nuetrals such as gray and cream.
